IEP & Advocacy Support
Helping you show up prepared, confident, and calm

Navigating the IEP process can feel overwhelming -  especially when you're trying to advocate for a child who experiences the world differently. At Families Flourishing, I support parents and caregivers in understanding, preparing for, and engaging in IEP meeting with clarity and confidence.

Wether you're just beginning the process, reviewing an assessment, or working through a challenging school dynamic, I'm here to guide you every step of the way.

What we support

  • Interpreting psychoeducational assessments in everyday language

  • Identifying your child's unique learning profile, including social-emotional needs

  • Preparing for IEP meetings with clear goals and strategies

  • Advocating for accommodations, modifications, and services

  • Navigating transitions (e.g., into kindergarten, middle school, high school , or post-secondary)

  • Creating strengths-based, inclusive goals

  • Supporting collaboration between home and school teams

Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) as Part of the Plan

Social Emotional Learning (SEL) is a critical part of many IEPs. I help families:

  • Understand ho emotional regulation, social skills, and mental wellness can be included

  • Advocate for supports like check-ins, calming spaces, or social groups

  • Collaborate with educators in a way that centres your child's well-being and growth

I believe in

  • Your child being seen and understood

  • You being supported, not sidelined

  • Clear communication, and confident advocacy
